By drawing on my own experiences as an Asian-American, as well as sourcing information from scholarly articles and studies, I have created a set of six stickers highlighting major examples of racial microaggressions. Though many are usually unaware of the racist undertones lacing their ‘compliments’, these seemingly innocent statements are often extremely disheartening and offensive, translating into a meaning that is vastly different from what it appears to imply. I hope these stickers help to shed light on the racial microaggressions that continuously plague the Asian-American experience in a way that is visually and thematically relevant.
